Blast from the past
Hall about it 10-26-2023
By CRAIG HALL
Hello, and welcome to our biggest and best newsletter of the week.
Each week, our Thursday newsletter has the latest news along with a roundup of stories from the past week in case you missed any. It is literally as close as we can get to a weekly newspaper, without putting out a weekly newspaper.
We have changed things up a bit, in case you missed it. To encourage more subscriptions and to get people to experience our newsletter, I have been giving away the daily newsletter and only charging for the big weekly newsletter. It is still my goal that we can reach 1,000 paying subscribers and I hope this helps with reaching more people. You can subscribe below:
The second is we are adding on to our coverage area. While in the past, it has been strictly LeFlore County, we are edging out into the bordering counties on eastern Oklahoma and western Arkansas.
Why? Because I believe there are some stories and information are core readers will be interested in. I will not cut out any of our regular stories, just add some and hopefully pick up some additional readers. Our website says leflorecountyjournal.com, but I changed the tag line to covering LeFlore County, southeast Oklahoma and western Arkansas.
If you enjoy what I am doing, please support us with a subscription to our daily newsletter and receive the weekly newsletter. For all that, the cost is only $5 per month and you get a daily update with the latest news, sports, obits and much more. You can also share this with others and ask them to subscribe, also.
As I have mentioned many times previously, I think this is the way the media will operate in the future. I know I am missing a lot of readers who prefer strictly the newspaper and I apologize for that. I had somebody mention the other day they miss the printed newspaper. I said that I did also and if I had a dollar for everybody who said that had helped more back when we were still printing, we would continue to be printing.
In case you were wondering, we do not have a down memory lane article this week. We did not publish an edition a year ago for this week and it was a week after we quit printing and I was basically trying to figure out what we were going to do.
For those of you who have continued to support us, you will never know how much you are appreciated. I just need to spread the word about what we are doing. I am not where I want us to be, but I try and make your reading experience better every day.
