Elzaeda Hall
Elzada Hall, 89, of Fanshawe was born May 6, 1934 in Colorado Springs, Colorado to Asa Cline and Flossie (Dean) Maddox and passed away Oct. 9, 2023 in Fanshawe.
Funeral service is 1 p.m. Friday at Victory Baptist Church in Howe with Brother Josh Cate and Brother Gene Heflin officiating. Burial will follow in Hicks Chapel Cemetery in Fanshawe, under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener.
She served as a witness to countless many.
Through over 50 years of marriage, she served alongside her husband at Fanshawe School and Victory Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading her bible, playing the piano, crocheting, fishing with her cane pole, and memorable conversations with her caregivers - her daughter Ramona and her husband Steve. She loved watching her grandchildren grow.
She will be greatly missed as she spends her eternal days in Heaven with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, alongside her husband, family, and friends.
She is survived by their three children Ralph Hall, Sr. and his wife Patricia Hall, Rhonda Shepard and her husband Steven, and Ramona Watts and her husband Steven; grandchildren Ralph Hall, Jr., Angela Hall, and Patrick Hall, Jessica Abramson, Jennifer Cameron, and Heather, Josh and Amber Cate and their children Rylan and Kamry, Amy Cate and Rusty Haynes and their children Christian, Casey, and Kevin, Eugene and Niki Robertson and their children Logan and Tanner.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband, Warner Hall.
Pallbearers are: Christian Hampton, Casey Hampton, Kevin Hampton, Rylan Cate, Patrick Hall and John Watts.
Viewing is from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Sheryl Bell
Funeral Service for Sheryl Jeanette Bell, 70, of Poteau is 2 p.m. Friday at Evans Chapel of Memories in Poteau with Jim Cook officiating.
Burial will follow at Ellis Chapel Cemetery in Wister, under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.
She was born July 23, 1953 in Mineola, Texas to Martha McCollum and Curtis Wilson and passed away Oct. 9, 2023 in Poteau.
Survivors include her husband, Dennis Bell; daughters Kilatha Hargiss and husband Russ, Samantha Reed and husband Jimmy, and Tabitha Horton and husband David; sons Wayne Rinehart and wife Tiffani, and Lee (Josh) Jamison; sisters Sandy Phillips, and Donna Reynolds and husband Wayne; 32 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Pallbearers are Chance Couch, Leo Rodriguez, Justin (Scooter) Hastings, Chucky (Charlie) Hastings, Dennis Bell and Michael Bell. Honorary pallbearers are Matt Winters, Wayne Reynolds, Russ Hargiss and Lee (Josh) Jamison.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Willie Lee Mathews
Willie Lee Mathews, 77, of Heavener was born Jan. 25, 1946 in Waurika to Albert Vernon and Wilma (Heavener) Janway and passed away Oct. 7, 2023 in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
Graveside service is 2 p.m. Thursday at the Hontubby Cemetery with Brother Paul Puckett officiating. Burial will follow in the Hontubby Cemetery, under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener.
Willie Lee was a life-long resident of the area and was a dietician in healthcare. She loved spending time with her family and visiting with friends. Willie Lee will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her husband, Johnny Truman Mathews, of the home; her children Michael Anthony Mathews and wife Danielle of Heavener, Stephen Mitchell Mathews of Heavener, and
Patrick Wayne Mathews and wife Melissa of Heavener; three grandchildren Kimberly Nicole Mathews, Kyliegh Marie Chilcote and husband Jessie, and Devon Dylan Mathews; one great-granddaughter Skyla Mae Mathews; three brothers Albert Lee Janway of Wister, Joseph Janway and wife Sherri of Heavener, and Christopher Janway and wife Vicky of Heavener; one brother-in-law, Jimmie Woodral, of Heavener, three sisters-in-law Bobbie Janway of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Geneva Janway of Wister, and Barbara Janway of Heavener; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other loved ones, and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers Jim, John and David Janway; two sisters Laverne Morrison and Melba Woodral; and a granddaughter Megan Amber Mathews.
Willie Lee will lie in state from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home.

Meredith Underwood

She was born Sept. 9, 1929.

He was born March 8, 1951 in San Francisco, California to Dorthia (Hume) Damato and Nicholas Damato and passed away Oct. 4, 2023 in Pocola.
Survivors include his wife, Jane Damato; son, Tim Damato; brother, Joe Damato; grandchildren Chloe McClary and husband Bryson, and Emma Damato; and great grandchildren, Bladen McClary.

Nolan Barnes
Memorial Service for Nolan Barnes, 76, of Muldrow is 10 a.m. Saturday at Gans 1st Assembly of God Church with Chris Stephenson officiating.
He was born July 11, 1947 in Bradford, Arkansas to Syble Barnes (Turner) and Charley C. Barnes and passed away Sept. 30, 2023 in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
Survivors include his wife, Enzel Barnes; daughter, Lorelei Jester; son, Daniel Barnes and wife Jodie; sister, Jane Biggs; brothers, Charles E. Barnes and wife Lela, Johnny Barnes and wife Martha, and Clifton Barnes; grandchildren; great grandchildren; and great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Dawson Barnes.

Dean Young
A memorial service for Dean Edward Young, 86 of Wister is 11 a.m. Oct. 21 at the First Baptist Church in Wister.
He was born July 25, 1937 in Oklahoma City to Vivian Christine (Jones-Garner) and Daniel Dean Young and passed away Oct. 1, 2023 in Wister.
He was a Navy veteran.
Surviving family members are his wife, Gloryann Young; sister Jacqueline King and husband Bill; and brother Michael Young and wife Jeannie; sons Randall Young and wife Barbara, and Keith Young; daughter, Pamela Young; grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel Dean Young and Vivian Young.

Carl Gene Wiles

He was born April 11, 1937 in Calhoun to Gracie Wiles (Blair) and Jess Wiles and passed away Oct. 2, 2023 in Shady Point.
Survivors include his sons Dennis Wiles, Kenneth Wiles, Mark Wiles and wife Penny; grandchildren; and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ana Louise Wiles; parents Jess and Gracie Wiles; and brothers Willy Wiles, and Paul Wiles.
Cal McCullough
Private funeral service for Cal Dean McCullough, 89, of Red Oak is at a later date, under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.
He was born March 25, 1934 in Lingo, New Mexico to Rilla Dean Smith and Leon C. McCullough and passed away Oct. 4, 2023 in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Faye Sparks; five daughters Becky Harris and husband Frank, Connie Rutledge and husband Steve, Phyllis Downing and husband Bryan, Donna Montgomery and husband Keith, and Jan White and husband Jimmy; 12 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; seven great great grandchildren; and a sister, Hazel Shariff.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jim McCullough; and sister, Naomi Molthan.
Cynthia Brody
Funeral Service for Cynthia Ann Brody, 80, of Poteau was Wednesday at the Methodist Church in Poteau with Reverend Susan Whitley officiating.
Burial followed at the National Cemetery in Fort Smith, Arkansas, under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.
She was born Oct. 5, 1943 in Oklahoma City to Ola (Bond) Couch and James Couch and passed away Oct. 5, 2023 in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
Survivors include her husband, Ed Brody; children Cynde Sullivan and husband Jim, and James Skinner and wife Karen; grandchildren Jennifer Roller, Jeremy Roller, Julie Brown, Teri Skinner and Zaric Skinner; and great grandchildren, Michelle Brown, Jerry Brown and Kaya Brown.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Pat Irwin.
Pallbearers are Marcus Bowles, Jeremy Roller, William Brown, James Skinner, Sheldon Wabaunsee and Zaric Skinner.
