Adrean elected as new mayor of Heavener
Billy Adrean was elected Heavener’s new mayor in Tuesday’s election, garnering 85 votes while opponent Sonya Nix collected 71.
Results for all of Tuesday’s races are unofficial until they are certified by the Oklahoma Election Board.
Adrean, a Farmers Insurance agency owner in Poteau, finished with 54.4 percent of the voting while Nix, a preacher at the Altar Church and owner of the Good News Café in Heavener won 45.5 percent.
