Today’s Bible verse

But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.

John 3:21

Oklahoma highway conditions

Northeastern Oklahoma crews are reporting slick conditions with the Tulsa metro reporting slick and hazardous conditions. Crews in the Panhandle are reporting some slick spots.

Drivers across the northern half of the state, near the Kansas border, should be aware of slick spots.

During the morning drive especially, drivers should remain patient, adapt to the conditions, give extra space to road crews and never pass road clearing equipment.

All turnpikes are clear.

Use caution on bridges and overpasses.

REMEMBER during snowy and icy conditions, motorists are asked to:

  • Stay about 200 feet behind and never pass road clearing equipment; crews need room to maneuver and can engage plowing or spreading materials without notice.

  • Allow extra space between vehicles to provide adequate distance for braking.

  • Be aware of "black ice," which looks wet on the roadway but is a thin layer of ice.

  • Be patient, plan trips ahead and allow extra time in reaching destinations.

NOTE: Advisories will be sent from this office as conditions change.

To check CURRENT ROAD CONDITIONS in Oklahoma, call 844-4OK-HWYS (844-465-4997),

If drivers must travel out of state they are urged to check area road conditions before heading out.
