Obituary for Ernest Eoff

Graveside service for Ernest Eugene Eoff, 85, of Spiro is 9 a.m. Wednesday at the Fort Smith National Cemetery in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

Burial will follow at Fort Smith National Cemetery, under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home

Ernest was born March 4, 1938 in Bokoshe to Opal Myrtle (Jacobs) Eoff and William Ernest off and passed away Nov. 4, 2023 in Fort Smith. He married Regina Eoff June 4, 1966 in Bokoshe.

Survivors include his wife, Regina Eoff; children Shannon Harrison, Vicki Odom and David Lyons; grandchildren Michael Ty Harrison, Matthew Brooks Harrison, Dustie Cheyanne Launius; great grandchild Maverick Espn Harrison; sister Patsy Petty; brother Charles Thomas and a host of beloved friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Lee Edward Thomas.

Memorial service set for Brett Hemphill

Memorial service for Brett Alan Hemphill, 45. of Monroe is 11 a.m. on Thursday, November 9, 2023 at Evans Memorial Chapel in Poteau.

He passed away Nov. 4, 2023 and was born May 3, 1978 in Tulsa to Debra Joy (Cavins) Stroup and Joe Paul Hemphill Jr.

Surviving family members are his parents Debra (Cavins) Stroup and Joe Hemphill, Jr and spouse, Kaye (Haddock) Hemphill, sisters Nikki Weaver-Aguero, Natalie Weaver, and Beverly (Hemphill) Fanning; numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Joe Paul and Wilma Hemphill; uncle Dennis Hemphill; cousin, Brea (Rust) Gammel; and his maternal grandparents Doyle and Louise (Herrington) Cavins.

Cremation is under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.

Visitation is Wednesday from 6-8 p.m.
