Service planned for Virginia Corby
Graveside service for Virginia Mae Corby, 92, of Heavener is 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Monroe Cemetery with Jim Cook officiating. Burial will follow at the Monroe Cemetery, under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.
She was born Aug. 26, 1931 in Wister to Evvie (Jones) Cagle and John M. Cagle and passed away Jan. 19, 2024 in Heavener.
Survivors include children, Steve and wife Kit Corby, Ramona and husband Gary Wineinger Michael Corby and wife Rose, Mary Corby, Cecelia and husband Stan Shinkle; 14 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and seven great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Floyd V. Corby; son Robert Corby; siblings, Jewel Tague, Bill Cagle, Helen Odell, Mildred Cox, Jay Cagle and Edith Cagle.
Pallbearers are grandsons, Lance Wineinger, Aaron Corby, Andy Estoquia, James McKnight, James Markham, Nick Williams, Levi Williams, Hunter Williams and Aidan Wineinger.
Visitation is Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
