Bible verse for Friday
Jesus answered, “It is written: Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.

Back to the daily grind for Friday after our massive and free weekly newsletter from Thursday.
I don’t know why, but it seems like most of our planned activities this summer have been on Thursdays, so I have typically had to crank out the weekly newsletter a little earlier.
I think everybody who contributed content, especially Leon Youngblood and Terry Joe Wiles. Eventually, I hope to add to our stable of writers or columnists, along with individuals who enjoy writing and attending the city meetings or school board meetings.
For those of you interested in this email craig@heavenerledger.com or text me at (918) 443-4671. While the title of this publication is heaveneronline, like it says in the slug, covering heavener and leflore county with the only daily publication in the county.
If you are interested in upgrading your subscription to paid, it is only $5 per month or $50 per year and your support of local journalism is greatly appreciated.
I know there are a lot of people out there who do not feel like Heavener has coverage and are not aware that we are continuing on, just in a different beat. But that is how it has always been, I have my digital readers and the newspaper readers. I do not currently put out a publication for my newspaper readers, but I have to face reality and figure out that would be the quickest way to lose money, at least for a while.
If I did do something different and something I should have tried, way to reduce the number of printed versions, go to a tabloid-sized newspaper and hand them out free in the local area.
You do not make the money from selling subscriptions to a printed product, but from the advertising, classifieds and legals. I still get calls from attorneys wanting me to publish legals, but I have to refer them to others.
I feel like what I am doing now is the way to go as I cannot take any more financial losses. I need to put more emphasis on the newsletter and hopefully that will bring me the 1,000 printed subscribers who still care about local news and getting it daily.
Until next time…
