Obituary for LeRoy Billy
Coleman LeRoy Billy, 84, passed away Feb. 21, 2024, at his home in Gilmore with his family by his side.
The Celebration of Life Services are 10 a.m. Saturday at the Trinity Baptist Church, on the corner of Flanagan Street and Holiday Avenue in Poteau in Poteau with Pastor David Billy and Brother Phil McGehee officiating. Burial will follow at the Vaughn Cemetery in Gilmore.
Leroy was born May 22, 1939, in Gilmore to Thomas Coleman and Edna (Borden) Billy. He was of the Baptist faith, serving as pastor of Hontubby for 10 years and Trinity Baptist in Poteau for over 49 years.
He and his wife JoAnn bought KPRV in1988 and have operated it for over 36 years. He leaves behind a lifetime of love and service to our community.
Surviving family members are his wife of 61 years, JoAnn Billy; his daughter Belinda Westfall and husband Joe; his sons Barry Bruton and wife Julie, David Billy and wife Lisa, and Nathan Billy and husband Stacy; his grandchildren Ashlee McBride, Michael Billy, Aidan Billy, Curtis Bennett, Thomas Westfall, Laura Westfall, Chris Hackett, Daniel Bruton and Robyn Rivera; great grandchildren Zoey Westfall, Lily Westfall, Sophia Klusmeyer, Noah Hackett and Jeremiah Hackett; his brother Charles Billy; and his sister, Cherry Neal.
LeRoy is preceded in death by his parents, his granddaughter Alison Hackett, and his siblings Gerald Billy, Norma Burden, and Janevieve Dameron.
The family will meet and greet friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Friday at The Cedars on 520 Dewey Avenue in Poteau.
Casket bearers are Hank Remy, Larry Hancock, Russ Johnson, Terry Gray, Chris Brown and Randy Duncan.

She was born Dec. 24, 1946 in Porter to Lee Ellen (Shelley) Scott and Jesse Jennings Scott and passed away Feb. 20, 2024 in Poteau.
Marjorie Colley
Funeral Service for Marjorie Marie Colley, 89, of Arkoma is 10 a.m. Friday at Evans Memorial Chapel in Pocola with Reverend John Holderfield officiating.
Burial will follow at Macedonia Cemetery in Pocola, under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Pocola.
She was born July 1, 1934 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to Martha (Bellah) and George Johnson and passed away Feb. 19, 2024 in Pocola.
Survivors include her daughters Joyce Rogers and husband David, Evelyn Killion, Carolyn Holderfield and husband John, and Edwina Upton; eight grandchildren; great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edwin Colley; one granddaughter, Brittany Holderfield; sisters Lucille Ralston and Mary Colvin; and a brother, Johnny Johnson.
Robert O’Dell
Robert “Bob” Dean O’Dell of Hodgen was born Oct. 6, 1933 in Maxdale, Texas to J.D. O’Dell and Daisy (Murphy) O’Dell and passed away Feb. 18, 2024 in Heavener at the age of 90.
Graveside services are 1 p.m. Friday at the Maxdale Cemetery in Killeen, Texas with Brother Brock Hardin officiating under the direction of Dowden Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener.
Bob retired from AT&T after 32 years of service. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, playing golf, and cheering on the Texas Longhorns and Oklahoma State Cowboys. He will deeply missed. Robert was a member, a deacon, and a Sunday School teacher at Heavener First Baptist Church.
Surviving family members are his wife of 66 years, Shirley O’Dell, of the home; one son James O’Dell and wife Susan of Claremore; two grandchildren Jacy Donnelly and husband Sherrod
And Kirk O’Dell; a wonderful group of nieces, nephews, other loved ones, and a host of many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Dorothy Goodnight; and a brother, William O’Dell

Tana Kay was born Nov. 17, 1989 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to Mary Sue (Flemmons) Williams and Michael Gene Gamble and passed away Feb. 8, 2024 in Spiro.
Survivors include her mother Sue Williams and husband Cecil; sister, Amy Gamble; nephew, Forrest Gamble; niece, Adaline Gamble; uncles Dobber Gamble and wife Kay, Charles Flemmons and wife Illa, Frank Flemmons and wife Beth, Carroll Flemmons and wife Tracy; aunt, Kathy O'Brian; stepsisters Amy Donathan and husband Jimmy, Laura Harrison and husband James, Courtney Akins and husband Justin; stepbrother Colton Williams and wife Corie; stepmother, Susan Gamble; grandmother, Willie Flemmons; numerous cousins and other loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her father, Michael Gamble; grandparents Othel and Margaret Gamble, Charles and Peggy Flemmons; and cousin, Greg Gamble.

Adele Rundles
Funeral Service for Adele Marie Rundles, 75, of Poteau was Tuesday at Grace Manor Chapel in Poteau with Brother Dan Lynch officiating.
Burial followed at Oakland Cemetery in Poteau, under the direction of Grace Funeral Service.
Adele was born April 7, 1948 in Great Bend, Kansas to Esther Rosena (Rankin) Pechanec and William John Pechanec and passed away Feb. 16, 2024 in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
Adele was married to Donald Ray Rundles Feb. 8, 1969 in Colorado Springs, Colorado and they recently celebrated 55 years of marriage.
Family members surviving include her loving husband, Don; three sons John (Greta) Rundles of Northport, Alabama, James (Janie) Rundles of Hooker and Mark (Tammi) Rundles of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; her sister, Carolyn Pols, of Pennsylvania; and five grandchildren Parker (Gabbie) Rundles of Hooker, Camden Rundles of Hooker, Clark Rundles of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Paitlyn Rundles of Hooker and Casey Marie Rundles of Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her granddaughter Kara Ashton Rundles.
Pallbearers were John Rundles, James Rundles, Mark Rundles, Parker Rundles, Camden Rundles, Clark Rundles and nephew J. Reese Rundles.
Gerald Clubb
Gerald Wayne “Joe/Jerry” Clubb of Poteau was born Jan. 1, 1942 in Heavener to Casper and Imogene (Elliott) Clubb and passed this life in Poteau Feb.13, 2024.
He and his wife Carolyn (Wyatt) Clubb were married for 63 years. Joe and Carolyn had three boys.
Memorial service was Monday at the Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home in Heavener with Kenneth Clubb and Glenda Yates officiating. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener.
Joe was a 1959 graduate of Heavener High School. He started his career as a surveyor for the State of Oklahoma, owned the DX Station in Heavener for several years, worked as the foreman for maintenance way for the KCS Railroad and retired after 30 years. He enjoyed buying and selling cars as a hobby. Joe thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He will be deeply missed. His love for his family and God never waivered. Even when his health deteriorated he always called his family to check on them.
Surviving family members are his wife, Carolyn Clubb; two sons Tracy Clubb and Ronnie Clubb; three sisters Glenda Yates, Marie Calhoun and husband Ron and Janell Sarnowski and husband Paul; two brothers Roger Clubb and Kenneth Clubb and wife Melissa; four granddaughters; two great-grandsons; two great-granddaughters; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and longtime friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Casper and Imogene (Elliott) Clubb; a son, Gregory Clubb; a grandson, Jacob Wayne Clubb; his brothers Tommy and Paul Ray Clubb; a sister-in-law, Dusty Clubb; and two brothers-in-law, Ed Yates and Bill Kincaid.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in honor of Gerald to Gideon International for Bibles.
Irma Koontz
Funeral service for Irma Lou Koontz, 91, of Wister was Tuesday at Faith Community Church in Wister with Chad Loper officiating. Burial followed at Maxey Cemetery in Wister, under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.
She was born Dec. 18, 1932 in Globe, Arizona to Carmon Thompson and Leslie Grady Brazieal and passed away Feb. 14, 2024 in Heavener.
Survivors include her son, John Long, of Phoenix, Arizona; step daughters Kath Isbrandtsen of Poteau and Janet Koontz of California
She was preceded in death by her Parents, and husband George Koontz
Pallbearers were Randy Duvall, Heath Smith, Robert Wooten, Rick Wooten, Laney Akers and David Thompson.
