Phyllis Heavener
Phyllis Carol Heavener of the Conser community was born July 20, 1933 in Seattle, Washington to Carl and Elizabeth “Betty” (Evans) Schwendeman and passed away Sept. 14, 2024 in Heavener at the age of 91.
Graveside service was Wednesday at the Reichert Cemetery in Heavener with Leroy Heavener officiating. Burial followed in Reichert Cemetery, under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener..
Phyllis was a longtime resident of the Conser community and a member of the Perry Chapel Baptist Church. She was the bookkeeper for Lake Wister State Park until she retired. Phyllis also worked as the Heavener City Clerk for many years. She was an avid reader, history buff and enjoyed watching Jeopardy. Phyllis loved spending time with her family and friends and enjoyed life to the fullest. She was a loving wife, mother, grandma, great-grandma, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. Phyllis will be dearly missed by many who loved and knew her.
She is survived by one daughter, Susan Elizabeth Heavener, of Hontubby; one son Joseph Heavener and wife Angela of Heavener; seven grandchildren Arlo Bruesch, Rachel Morton and husband Jack, Jesse Bruesch, Jolie Kannady and husband Clayton, Walker LeMay and significant other Erika McGee, Erika LeMay and significant other Trevor Smith, Joseph R. Heavener, Jr. and wife MacKenzie; honorary grandchild Mary Oliver and husband Dustin; 11 great-grandchildren Rhiannon, Lily, Arlis, Skyler, Eden, Elise, Jekobi, Rylee, Dax, Blakely and Holliday; one great-great-grandchild, Cypress; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Herman Ray Heavener; and one brother, Carl Schwendeman.
Pallbearers were her grandsons.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the local Humane Society in honor of Phyllis.

Antonio Huerta
Antonio Villanueva Huerta of Heavener was born Oct. 7, 1947 in Gucinajuato, Mexico to Camilo Villanueva and Perfecta Huerta and passed away Sept. 9, 2024 in Heavener at the age of 76.
Rosary service is 6 p.m. Thursday at the Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home Chapel in Heavener.
Funeral Mass is 2 p.m. Friday at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Heavener with Father Leonardo Medino officiating. Burial will follow in Heavener Memorial Park, under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener.
Antonio was a laborer at the Rock Quarry. He loved spending time with his family and friends. Antonio was loved by all who knew him and will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his wife, Eleuteria Luna, of the home; two daughters Ma. Guadalupe Hernandez of Longview, Texas and Edith Quiroz of Poteau; three sons Juan A. Villanueva of Heavener, Fernando Villanueva of Heavener and Jorge Villanueva of San Luis, Mexico; five sisters Rosario Villanueva of San Luis, Mexico, Juana Villanueva of San Luis, Mexico, Veronica Villanueva of San Luis, Mexico, Amalia Flores of San Luis, Mexico and Maximina Villanueva of San Luis, Mexico; eight grandchildren Juan Villanueva, Euince Quiroz, Fernando Villanueva, Benny Villanueva, Giancarlo Villanueva, Cyndylon Hernandez, Ezro Mateo Villanueva and Yahir Villanueva; multiple nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, other loved ones and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Perfecta Huerta and Camilo Villanueva; and three brothers Benigno, Damasio and Alfonsa Villanueva.
Viewing is from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. until noon Friday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are Juan A. Villanueva, Fernando Villanueva, Juan Villanueva, Fernando Villanueva, Juan Hernandez and Juan Quiroz.
Honorary pallbearers are Juan Hernandez, Juan Quiroz, Benny Villanueva and Giancarlo Villanueva.
